Delete Your Data
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Plain-language summary: You can wipe your progress on your device in a couple of taps. If you signed in and synced to the cloud, email us and we will delete your account data within 30 days.
1. Delete on your device (instant)
Most of your BrainSnail data lives only on your phone. To erase it, open the app and go to Profile → Settings → Reset progress. This immediately removes your XP, level, streaks, shells, gems, hearts, saved mistakes, daily quests, and answered questions from the device.
Uninstalling the app also removes this local data.
2. Delete your synced / account data (by request)
If you signed in (for example with Google) and synced your progress to the cloud, or you appear on a leaderboard, send us a deletion request:
Email hello@brainsnail.com with the subject "Delete my data". Send it from the email address linked to your account, or include your display name and friend code so we can find your record.
What gets deleted
Your synced learning progress, your account record, your display name, and any leaderboard or league entry tied to you. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
What we may keep
We may retain a minimal set of records where the law requires it (for example, purchase and tax records for any subscription you bought through Google Play), and anonymised or aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you. Advertising identifiers are controlled by your device: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads.
How long it takes
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm by email when it is done.
