Pitch, the musical alphabet and how melodies move
Pitch is how high or low a note sounds, and melody is what happens when pitches are put in an order that means something.
The unit covers pitch itself, the musical alphabet, the octave, steps and leaps, and the shape a melody traces.

Where people slip
An octave is the same letter name at double the frequency, which is why two notes an octave apart sound like the same note. That is physics, not convention.
How the unit is structured
Pitch and Melody runs as 23 short steps that unlock in order. 17 are practice rounds and 6 are challenge rounds that pull together everything before them. Questions start at difficulty 1 and climb to 5 as you progress.
