Reproduction is where genetics stops being abstract. Gametes carry half a genome each, fertilisation combines them, and the variation that evolution works on is generated in the process.
The unit covers human reproductive anatomy, the hormone cycles that regulate it, fertilisation and pregnancy, and plant reproduction alongside - worth doing together, because seeing the same problem solved twice makes the general principle visible.
