How the land is shaped

Land looks permanent on a human timescale and is not. Mountains are being pushed up and worn down at the same time, and their height is the current balance between the two.

The unit covers the ways ranges form - collision, volcanic activity, faulting - the processes that wear them back down, the valleys and plains that result, and the specific ranges worth knowing by name.
