This track is about how science works rather than any single discipline. It covers materials, living things, energy, forces, light and sound, and then turns to method: measurement, evidence, lab skills, data and how research is actually done.
If you want depth in one field, chemistry, physics and biology have their own tracks. This one suits anyone who wants the shared foundation, or who wants to understand how a scientific claim gets made and tested before diving into a specialism.
This track is about the method rather than any one field. Knowing how a claim gets tested - and what makes a test worth trusting - transfers to every other subject and to a great deal of ordinary life.

The thing people get wrong
That science is a body of facts to be accepted. It is a procedure for finding out which claims survive testing, and its findings are provisional by design - which is a strength that critics regularly present as a weakness.
